Polymarket Acquires Crypto Exchange QCX
Polymarket has snapped up a new US options exchange just days after regulators dropped an investigation into the online prediction platform, clearing the way for its expansion and access to the US market.
Polymarket, which describes itself as the world’s largest prediction market, on Monday said it had acquired Florida-based derivatives exchange QCX and affiliated clearinghouse QC Clearing — together known as QCEX — for $112mn.
The purchase “marks a significant step toward expanding” Polymarket into the US, said founder and chief executive Shayne Coplan.
The Department of Justice and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission launched an investigation into Polymarket in the days after Donald Trump’s election victory. That probe, which was reportedly brought about to determine if Polymarket had accepted bets from those in the US. concluded this month with no charges filed.
The acquisition of QCX was “laying the foundation to bring Polymarket home — re-entering the US as a fully regulated and compliant platform that will allow Americans to trade their opinions”, Coplan added on Monday.

Circa Casino's Slotapalooza Deemed a Huge Success
LAS VEGAS – Circa Resort & Casino took slot play to the next level with its first-ever “Slotapalooza,” an all-day celebration that culminated in the World’s Largest Slot Party. Over the weekend, more than a thousand guests took over the downtown Las Vegas casino-resort, with 1,312 machines in play, vendor-sponsored activations, freeplay prizes, exclusive giveaways and an open bar.
“We’ve thrown some pretty over-the-top events at Circa, but Slotapalooza took things to a new level,” said Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa. “With every single slot machine in our casino running simultaneously and a packed crowd living it up, we were able to truly celebrate the players who bring our casino floors to life every day.”
Guests kicked off the day with a massive walk-up slot tournament on Cleopatra machines near Circa Collections. Players were given a two-minute session to test their luck, competing for a top prize of a Game King Poker machine or a $2,500 cash alternative. The top 50 scorers shared $15,000 in total slot free play.
Throughout the day, attendees explored the casino floor for exclusive vendor activations. Aristocrat’s $10,000 slot pull drew a crowd with fan-favorite games like Spooky Link™. Light & Wonder offered $5,000 in slot pull giveaways along with branded backpacks and plush toys, while Interblock invited guests to try their hand at top electronic table games for a chance to win a share of $5,000 and branded merchandise. All vendor activations were limited to 200 people and closed within 70 minutes of opening.
As the energy built into the evening, Circa unveiled the main event with the World’s Largest Slot Party. Guests gathered across both casino floors to enjoy an open bar and live entertainment from the Drumbots. Stevens officially kicked off the slot pull with a drumroll and a custom animation on Circa’s massive 78-million-pixel sportsbook screen, cueing all players across the property to activate simultaneously in a moment of collective play. Each guest who participated was gifted a commemorative “1312 Club” t-shirt.
Adding to the thrill, $5,000 in slot free play was awarded to randomly selected players through Hot Seat drawings held every 90 seconds for 15 minutes starting at the beginning of the kick-off.
