Nasdaq: 5 Gambling Stats That Will Blow You Away

Nasdaq on Tuesday evening listed 5 gambling stats that will leave some readers in shock.

Macau, not Vegas, is the greatest show on Earth when it comes to gambling.  The Chinese gambling enclave of Macau has seen gaming revenues three times that of Las Vegas. It remains to be seen whether this continues in 2017 with Chinese authorities now cracking down on illicit gambling activities targeted towards many high rollers.

With that said, Las Vegas took in nearly $12.5 billion from visitors on food alone.

And with a record 43 million visitors in 2016, one can only imagine the entirety of what was spent in Sin City once gambling is added into the equation.

Ironically enough, the top four gambling companies are in debt to the tune of $39 billion.
