Did Polymarket Pay Creators to Stage $1.9 Million in Fake Bets?
Tuesday June 23, 2026 (10:21 am EDT)
A WSJ investigation reviewed 1,105 videos posted by Polymarket creators and found that NONE of the bets were real. Creators were filming trades on FAKE copies of the Polymarket website and getting paid $2,000 to $3,000 a month to post them. The same bets they showed as wins would have actually LOST over $166,000. Polymarket says it will now audit its promotional content.

We finally have additional information on a story Gambling911.com brought you about a man shot in the back at Green Bay, Wisconsin's Onieda Casino. A male individual was hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries after being shot early Saturday morning on a ramp leading to the casino. The suspect, Long Thao, was apprehended during a traffic stop after fleeing the scene. He was later identified as a family member of the victim. And now we are learning that Thao is the brother of the victim. The 39-year-old is facing charges of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Possession of a Firearm as a Convicted Felon, and while under a Child Abuse Injunction, Operating a Firearm While Intoxicated, Resisting or Failing to Stop, OWI, and Refusal to Take an Intoxication Test After Arrest. Tuesday's FIFA World Cup Betting
Tuesday June 23, 2026 (8:30 am EDT)
Uzbekistan is another team that played surprisingly well their debut at a World Cup despite losing to Colombia 3-1. The nation qualified for the 2026 tournament after decades of near misses, becoming the first Central Asian country to reach a World Cup finals. They promise a payout of US$1900 for every US$100 bet to win against Portugal on Tuesday. The Uzbeks made history when Abbosbek Fayzullaev scored the country's first-ever World Cup goal in the 60th minute to level the match at 1-1. England takes on Ghana as a -600 favorite at 4 pm EDT with Ghana paying US$1600 for every US$100 bet should they upset England. Panama then faces Croatia and Colombia takes on a Congo. In this year's World Cup, DR Congo opened with a respectable 1–1 draw against Portugal on June 17. That result gave them an early point and put them in a stronger position than Uzbekistan after the first round of matches.

BetOnline Once Again Offering Betting Odds on Special Olympics and Special Olympics Responds
Tuesday June 23, 2026 (8:22 amm EDT)
The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games are actively taking place across the Twin Cities, including the University of Minnesota and the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN. The event runs through June 26. In June 2023, the online sportsbook BetOnline, which began operations in 1999 and is widely considered to be among the world's top five largest online gambling sites, sparked intense backlash by becoming the first operator to offer betting odds on the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin. The move created significant controversy, leading to severe criticism from advocates, disrupted betting markets, and delayed payouts. Once again BetOnline is offering betting on the Special Olympics but their approach this time is somewhat different, even flying at least one Olympian in while the Special Olympics itself provides a statement to Gambling911.com.

Michigan Advances HB 6068 to Clarify State Gambling Laws
Tuesday June 23, 2026 (8:22 amm EDT)
Michigan lawmakers are seeking to modernize the state's gambling laws through House Bill 6068. The proposal would clarify how regulated gaming activities interact with existing criminal gambling statutes. The proposed measure aims to ensure that activities already permitted under Michigan law are clearly exempt from criminal gambling provisions. portions of Michigan's criminal gambling laws predate the emergence of internet gambling. Supporters argue that the legislation improves legal clarity without changing the scope of gambling currently permitted in Michigan while the state continues to crackdown on what it seems as unlawful gambling activity, including sweepstakes casinos, prediction markets and those businesses operating offshore that still accept Michigan customers.
