Giannis Trade Odds Impact on Heat, Bucks

The Giannis trade finally happened. He’s going to the Heat as he’s the seventh major Hall of Famer (future of course) that Pat Riley has brought to Miami.

In order: Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway Jr., Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Jimmy Butler and now Giannis.

Will this iteration of the Heat bring another ring to Pat Riley’s finger? The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag don’t think so. At least not in 2027.

Here’s some of the movement after the trade along with some Giannis props:

  • The Miami Heat’s title odds went from 40/1 to 14/1
  • The Milwaukee Bucks’ title odds went from 250/1 to 500/1
  • The Boston Celtics (the other team that was in mix for Giannis) went from 6/1 to 13/2 (+650)
  • The Miami Heat’s win total opens at 49.5.
  • Giannis games played for next season are 66.5
