Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo has won the Belmont Stakes, paying out $90 for every $20 bet. The winning horse sat out this year's Preakness Stakes race.

New Video Shows Casino Floor Drug Deal Which Caused Fatal Overdose, Took Influencer Anunay Sood's Life

A grand jury indicted Thamrong Hill on second-degree murder for selling fentanyl sale to influencer Anunay Sood at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas.  Video showed Sood’s fiancée buying $40 fentanyl from Hill at a Wynn slot machine before her husband’s overdose.  Hill was arrested weeks later in an unrelated fentanyl case.  The 32-year-old died by overdose after he ingested what he thought was cocaine from a drug deal at the Las Vegas casino floor, according to Metro police.

William Hill owner agrees £243m takeover by Greek casino and lottery firm Evoke had been in talks for two months with Bally’s Intralot, which has extensive international operations, including in the US.  The deal comes four years after the heavily indebted Evoke, formerly known as 888 Holdings, paid £2.2bn to buy William Hill’s network of 1,400 high street bookmakers. Since then, Evoke’s share price has fallen by 90%.

In Los Angeles, Nithya Raman is seeking a place in the November mayoral runoff. In San Francisco, Chakrabarti is seeking to advance in the race to succeed retiring Rep. Nancy Pelosi in California’s 11th Congressional District. Preliminary returns show Chakrabarti running third as ballots continue to be counted.  California’s counting process typically extends beyond Election Day as officials process mail-in, drop-off, and provisional ballots.  Raman, who has served on the Los Angeles City Council since 2020, campaigned on housing affordability, homelessness, economic inequality, and reviving the region’s entertainment industry.  Her odds to win were third longest at BetOnline coming into Tuesday's primary as two candidates move on to the November general election no matter the party affiliation and, as of Saturday morning, former reality star Spencer Pratt, a Republican, remains in second place.
