Live online casino behemoth Evolution accused the law firm of Calcagni & Kanefsky’s (C&K) of 'delaying tactics' in a New Jersey court this past week.

Evolution accuses the firm of defamation in publishing a mysterious 2021 report of "prohibited jurisdictions".

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement concluded in February there was “no evidence” Evolotion promoted, permitted, or otherwise benefited from prohibited jurisdictions.

Evolution’s attempt to use this decision to get a court order revealing the names of the entities that put together and commissioned the report was denied in April.

Justin Jefferson, Vikings Agree to 4-year, $140M Deal

The Minnesota Vikings and star wide receiver Justin Jefferson have agreed to a four-year, $140 million contract extension that includes $110 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN. The deal makes him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

The deal, which was negotiated by WME Football, includes $88.743 million due at signing. The Vikings announced Monday morning that Jefferson agreed to an extension that runs through the 2028 season but did not disclose financial terms.

The Vikings are listed at 60-1 odds to win the Super Bowl in 2025.

Pritzker Bets FanDuel, DraftKings Won't Leave Illinois Over Hefty Sports Wagering Tax Hike

"Illinois legislators have called the bluff of online sports betting companies that are suggesting they might reduce operations — or close up shop..."

Governor J.B. Pritzker bets FanDuel, DraftKings won't leave Illinois over hefty sports wagering tax hike.

The top two mobile betting giants — who raked in more than $729 million from Illinois bettors last year and have come out on top by nearly a quarter-billion so far this year — say the hike is enough to make them “reevaluate their level of investment and participation in the state.”

Illinois' tax hike would be among the highest in the nation along side New York and Pennsylvania.

“If I were the governor, I would say, ‘That’d be a shame to see you go. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out,’” said Victor Matheson, economics professor at the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts.

“It’s a completely non-credible threat. Of course, they don’t want to pay higher rates, but there’s no evidence they can’t pay. At the end of the day, they’ve made hundreds of millions of dollars selling a wildly addictive product, and the government should tax that,” Matheson said.

John Hennigan Captures Seventh Bracelet in Event #7: $1,500 Dealer's Choice

Event #7: $1,500 Dealer's Choice has come to a close here at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. It took just over six hours for a winner to emerge from ten hopefuls who made it to the final day.

After the dust had settled, mixed game legend John Hennigan was the last player standing, last-defeating Robert Wells after a brief heads-up duel. With the win, Hennigan became only the ninth player to capture a seventh WSOP gold bracelet.

"It's Interesting to know, I guess, just like any other number" Hennigan commented when asked about the accolade. "Very happy to win the tournament. I mean to me, the best thing about winning the tournament is not losing it. Not getting second, or knowing they're still playing and wandering around after you go broke. It's just very satisfying to come out on top."
