NoVig may be pushing the limits just a bit as a current ad appearing on Facebook might cross the line.
Novig is a relatively new sports betting exchange platform in the U.S. that utilizes the peer-to-peer betting model. It tmarkets itself as a commission-free, peer-to-peer sportsbook alternative.
The company has featured a Facebook ad that advertises a $50 bonus when you spend $5. The ad includes 5 steps on "how to lose money on sports betting".
The first step says to "use DraftKings or FanDuel".
A company like DraftKings or FanDuel could argue such an ad:
- makes a false statement of fact
- harms their reputation or business
- was made with negligence or intent

It's true such an ad can be viewed as satire. Whether DraftKings or FanDuel thinks it is funny remains to be seen.
