Bovada, a prominent online betting platform, experienced notable technical difficulties starting December 31, 2024, which hindered users from accessing their accounts or placing bets during a critical time for sports betting.

The outage coincided with major bowl games being played New Year's Eve, including the highly anticipated playoff game between Boise State and Penn State.

Users voiced their frustrations over missed opportunities and inaccessible funds, with some contemplating switching to other platforms due to these recurring issues.

Bovada acknowledged the issues late Tuesday afternoon.

"We are aware that Bovada users are currently experiencing site issues. The team is working hard to resolve it quickly and apologize for any inconvenience caused. More information can be found on https://community.bovada.lv or you can DM our support team."

"CREDIT EVERYONE'S ACCOUNT WITH $20 IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS!" one customer lashed out in call caps on Twitter.

"Of course Bovada waits until the last college bowl game of the day is nearly over to finally let folks log in. Thanks for nothing, Bovada."

Some customers acknowledged receiving bonuses as a result of the downtime and inability to bet on Tuesday's big bowl games.

No word yet on the cause.
