Barstool Sports: FSU Creates Worst Beat Ever in Sports Betting

I don't know what to say if you had Florida State. I'm sorry. You don't deserve that. You're a good person, writes Big Tennessee of Barstool Sports.

While it is possible there have been worst beats in sports betting, it's highly improbable.

As a +9.5 underdog, the FSU Seminoles were losing but safely within range of covering as they were down just four points with the ball in their possession and only a few seconds remaining on the clock.

While a Hail Mary could have resulted in some moneyline bets going the other way, anyone who had the Seminoles on the spread could get up and collect or request a sweet payout.

But then this happened...

That's right.  A bunch of tosses to keep the ball alive only to have a Clemson player scoop it up and score the 6-point touchdown.

The score: 30-20 and the Tigers end up with their first cover of the season, a half point over the posted -9.5.

There was even an acknowledgement by the commentators that this one was going to hurt.
