Tim Trushel Abruptly Resigns

Tim Trushel, the president and owner of the Sports Memo group announced his resignation on Tuesday in a shocking development in the sports advisory business.  (see blog post here)

With a stable on handicappers and a sports radio expense on the books Tim Trushell was making ends meet in this struggling economy with his existing sheet business at The Greek, according to sources close to the
situation.

But when The Greek announced it would shut down in late July, Tim Trushel’s affiliate earnings vanished and nearly brought down the ship until he was able to put the company in good hands.

It isn’t known at press time who that individual is that purchased the business from Trushell, but what kept the company afloat despite poor performances by his stable of handicappers and horrible pick sales were
his players he referred to The Greek, this according to industry sources.

Gambling 911’s Thomas Somach broke the news that Sports Memo lead handicapper Teddy Covers was reportedly facing financial hardship and couldn’t keep up with his house payment.  Mr. Covers has since suggested in an exclusive interview with G911’s Jenny Woo that his news of his “financial woes” were slightly exaggerated
