Meraban is listed as the CEO of Bitcoin America, a virtual currency exchange registered as a money services business with the United States Department of Treasury.

The Cuyahoga County prosecutor announced Thursday afternoon the results of an operation resulting in indictments of people owning and operating cryptocurrency kiosks in Ohio.

In addition to Meraban, charges were filed against S and P Solutions, Reza Mehraban, 75, and William Suriano, 69, including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, conspiracy, and license requirement violation for running the kiosks between August of 2002 and last month.
