11-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, Phil Hellmuth, admits that negativity has gotten in the way of his poker play.  The past few days, Hellmuth has posted positive thoughts on his Twitter Page.

"Only ended day with 11,200, but I feel like i have over 100,000!! Played absolutely great poker, and was perfectly calm!!"

He finished 17th in Event #38 - WSOP Limit Hold'em this weekend, winning $8019.  Thus far, Hellmuth has won just shy of $25,000 at the 2009 WSOP.

For Hellmuth, winning $25,000 at the World Series of Poker is like going home from the Price of Right with the refrigerator when he could have had the Cadillac.

Last year's WSOP yielded the UltimateBet.com spokesperson $241,450.  The previous year he won $743,564.  In 2006, Hellmuth walked away with over a million.

"There's been a pretty dramatic decline over the years," points out Payton O'Brien of Gambling911.com.  "It is easy to understand why Phil might be getting frustrated."

And that frustration really surfaced during Event #38 when Hellmuth went off on competing player, Alex Keating.

"Finished 16th, and did not shake 'Alex's hand-for only second time in fifteen years i didn't. kid was completely weird and inappropriate!"

The good news for Hellmuth, there is still plenty more time to win, and he has managed some cash finishes despite the meager amounts.  And of course, there is the main event, which promises to pay out a couple million to the winner.
