Galaxy Casino Opens in Macau

With a price tag of just $2 billion (that’s with a “b”), the extravagant Galaxy Casino opened in Macau, the world’s largest gambling Mecca.

Galaxy Entertainment owns and operates the hotel, casino and resort complex, which includes a wave pool and artificial beach along with 50 plus restaurants and 450 gambling tables.

The company itself is run by Lui Che Woo, no relation to Gambling911.com Senior Reporter Jenny Woo.  For years, Macau’s gambling center was monopolized by the powerful Stanley Ho, whose family squabbles made headlines just a few months ago.  Ho, the aging billionaire casino mogul, sold much of the stakes in his casino empire to family members.

Galaxy owns these other hotels in Macau:

The StarWorld hotel and Casino on the Macau Peninsula.

Four City Club Casino
