The San Francisco 49ers have lost three straight games, but they're still in contention for the NFC West, because an 8-8 team can win that division. The loss against Atlanta that started the streak was humiliating, but the losses against Houston and Indianapolis were bad, bad beats.

Mike Singletary's Niners are not prey like the Lions or the Rams or the Bucs are prey. The Niners are going to take their frustrations out on someone soon, and my dollar says it'll be on the Titans this weekend.

Tennessee won its first game of the year against Jacksonville last week after switching to Vince Young at quarterback. The problem is that there is a big difference between facing the Jags at home and some really ticked off Niners with a ticked off coach on the road. Tennessee will face An Inconvenient Truth on Sunday - San Francisco -4 with Sports Interaction is the first of my Week 9 NFL picks.

Miami were very lucky to win against the Jets on Sunday. Chad Henne is getting found out at quarterback and is showing his youth and lack of experience. Miami is also in the position of having to visit New England as the Patriots come off their bye week, which means that Bill Belichick will have had extra time to scheme for declawing the wildcat and putting Henne under serious pressure.

The Patriots have been misfiring this season but they are still men you can count on not to show mercy or be squeamish about running up the score. The final point being the decisive one in having faith in them to cover a tough number - New England -10.5 with Sports Interaction is the second of my Week 9 NFL picks.

Finally, while I expect San Francisco to recover from its three straight losses, I'm afraid the losses for Denver may be only just beginning. Denver was worth its unbeaten start to the season but the Broncos are really entering choppy waters now. Baltimore's entire season rested on beating Denver last Sunday and now this Monday night the Pittsburgh Steelers visit Mile High after a relaxing bye week.

Pittsburgh has won two Super Bowls in four years but the Steelers never seem to quite get the respect. They'll find a way past Denver on Monday night, because that's what they do. Pittsburgh -3 with Sports Interaction is the final pick of the week.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
