Vegas Odds Week 2 NFL

The Vegas odds offered some variances from their counterparts in the online world during Week 2 of the NFL.

Planet Hollywood, for example, was offering a -9 line on the Washington Redskins in their game against the lowly St. Louis Rams.  None of the online sports betting venues featured this line.  The best they could do was Washington -9 ½ (see SBG Global)

Planet Hollywood was also offering a -9 line on Minnesota whereby most of the online gambling outs had the Vikings listed at -10, though some were even creeping up to -10 1/2.  -9 ½ was the best number we could find on line (a la Sportsbetting.com)

The Hard Rock Casino Sportsbook offered up the Buffalo Bills with -4 odds compared to the -5 ½ we found at Diamond Sports International online.  Tampa Bay bettors will want to take advantage of that line (+5 ½).

Planet Hollywood still had Seattle vs. San Francisco as a PICK.

Most of the other Vegas odds Week 2 NFL offerings matched those that were found online.

Atlanta was a -6 home favorite against Carolina.

Washington was a -9 ½ or -10 home favorite against St. Louis.

Tennessee was a -6 home favorite vs. Houston.

New Orleans was a -1 favorite on the road against Philadelphia.  This line was all over the charts, however, from New Orleans -1 to Philadelphia -1 and some books offered the game as a PICK.

New England was a -3 ½ to -4 favorite on the road against the Jets.

Kansas City was a firm -3 point favorite at home against Oakland.

Jacksonville was a firm -3 point favorite at home against Arizona.  Sportsbetting.com listed Arizona at +3 ½ at press time however.

Green Bay was a -9 to -9 ½ home favorite against Cincinnati.  The current trend was for the line to move up off the -9.

Minnesota was a -9 ½ to -10 ½ road favorite in Detroit.

Buffalo was mostly a -5 home favorite facing Tampa Bay.

The San Francisco vs. Seattle line was all over the map from a PICK to San Fran -2.

Pittsburgh was a -3 road fav against Chicago.

Denver vs. Cleveland was -3 for Denver at home.

San Diego was the -3 home fav vs. Baltimore.

Dallas was anywhere from a -2 to -3 favorite at home against the New York Giants.

Indianapolis was a -3 road favorite in Miami Monday Night.
