University of Tennessee sports betting should witness a frenzy in 2016 with the Vols among the top ten teams with odds of winning the College Championship game (15-1 odds).

The Volunteers are expected to amass OVER 9.5 regular season victories in 2016.

Tennessee finished a strong 9-4 Straight Up and 8-5 Against The Spread last season with improvement expected in 2016.

Sports bettors looking to capitalize off of the Vols likely success will want to place their future bets early but understand they will have the ability to wager LIVE IN-PLAY throughout each game right up to the final minute.  Bookies catering to this market will be wise to seek out a Pay Per Head business to help reduce costs and generate profits from the various loss leaders that should overcome likely spread coverages from this Tennessee squad.

This is the first time in over a decade that Tennessee will open in the Associated Press Top 10 Preseason.

It's also the highest-ever ranking for a Butch Jones-coached team.

As the season nears, Jones has expressed some degree of concern over what he is seeing during practice, though one might suggest he is calling our bluff.

“I liked the way they came out with energy. I liked their effort early. But way too many mistakes,” Jones said.

“We’re not playing winning football right now — too many balls on the ground, not playing to our style of play in terms of effort and fundamentals. We talked about being a defense that hunts the ball and generates turnovers. I didn’t see much of that today.

“We have to get our scout teams. It’s the first time we’ve really gone scout teams, and I really didn’t like their style of play. But that’s why you practice. We’ll get better. We’ll be better for it. I did like their approach to practice today, but I want a clean practice. We’ve got to start getting game-ready now. The intensity, everything has to pick up. It’s basically game week for us and a mindset, and we have to challenge our conditioning.”

The Vols open their season Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m. inside Neyland Stadium against visiting Appalachian State.
