Saints-Panthers Line

The Saints-Panthers line was coming in at -6.5 in favor of the visiting Saints.  All the Las Vegas sportsbooks were offering the line at -6.5.  Just over 70 percent of those betting the spread were backing New Orleans.

In a matchup out of the NFC South, Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers host Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. It should be interesting to see how these new Panthers stack up against their division leaders in Week 5 of the National Football League season.

Be careful here.  Carolina has covered 5 of the last 6 with the one exception being the last game played.  That was a 34-3 whoopin, but keep in mind Cam Newton wasn’t playing in that one.

The Saints are 2-9 Against The Spread vs. a team with a losing record.

The Saints are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.

New Orleans is 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 games on grass.

The Saints are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 vs. NFC South.

The Panthers are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as an underdog.

Carolina is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0.

The Panthers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game.

The Panthers are 1-7 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
