New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos 2010 Super Bowl Odds

While the New Orleans Saints were at least expected to perform well, albeit a bit off the radar, this season, the Denver Broncos found themselves all but written off.  Neither had very short odds of winning the 2010 Super Bowl. 

The Saints were listed right around 18/1 odds.  Some books published longer odds for New Orleans to win the 2010 Super Bowl. 

And the Denver Broncos:  They were listed with 42/1 odds of winning the big game.

While New Orleans stock had climbed all the way to 8/1 and were the 3rd favorite to win the 2010 Super Bowl heading into Week 4, oddsmakers showed little respect to the 3-0 Broncos, listing them with 70/1 odds.  That's right, they had longer odds after going 3-0 than they did entering the season expected to win no more than 5 games in 2009.   Go figure!

All that will change Tuesday when SBG Global updates its 2010 Super Bowl odds. 

New Orleans beat the New York Jets by a score of 24-10 on Sunday afternoon, handing the Jets their first loss of the season.

The Saints' 4-0 start is their first since 1993, when they won their first five games before going 3-8 the rest of the way.

Drew Brees last went consecutive weeks without a TD pass in Weeks 3 and 4 on the 2007 season.

Drew Brees said: "The defense played outstanding once again."

It was the Saints defense that caused Jets quarterback to throw three interceptions Sunday after throwing just two over his first three starts.

Then there was the Denver Broncos, another team that is now 4-0 after beating a very respected Dallas Cowboys team at home by 17-10.

New defensive coordinator Mike Nolan has restored the Broncos' rushing defense through four games this season. Denver held Dallas to its first sub-100 yard rushing game on Sunday.

The Broncos are 4-0 for the first time since 2003.

The Broncos have allowed 26 points through four games, tied for the fifth-fewest points allowed by a team through four games since the 1970 merger.

Updated New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos and all other NFL team 2010 Super Bowl odds will be available on Tuesday at SBG Global.
