The Jets 2010 Super Bowl odds were set at an impressive 35/1 odds or +3500 for a payout potential of $3500 on every $100 bet at Sports Interaction.com. They would pay out $2000 for every $100 bet to win the 2010 AFC Championship.

Impossible?

Think the New York Giants just two years ago.  They were among the biggest long shots to ever win a Super Bowl.

Former Patriots LB Tedy Bruschi and ESPN analyst said he believes the New York Jets stand a better shot of reaching the 2010 Super Bowl than the New England Patriots.

"I think this (Wes) Welker injury is huge for the New England Patriots," Bruschi said on SportsCenter today. "I know how valuable this kid is to that team."

Welker is out of the Playoffs with a torn ligament in his knee.

"Without Welker, I see (the Patriots) beating Baltimore. But going into San Diego, it's going to be very difficult to do. And when I look at the Jets, I just see a physical offensive line that can move that ball. ... And also that defense.  Darrelle Revis can take a receiver out of the game."

The Jets have beaten two Playoffs teams already in impressive fashion during Weeks 16 and 17, respectively.

One can argue that both the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals considered these two games "meaningless" in some respects since they each already grabbed home field advantage.

Adam Schein of Sirius Blitz writes:

"I know the Jets have given their amazing, die-hard, passionate fans nothing but heartache since Joe Namath's Super Bowl guarantee. But the culture has officially changed under Rex."
