It may be the Monday Night Football game but the Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings line is one of the most anticipated of the season following word that former Packers quarterback Brett Favre had joined the Vikings over the summer.

"We are not expecting a whole lot of line movement in with the Packers vs. Vikings game," expressed Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com, noting that the early action was relatively even.  "Around 65 percent of those betting on this game were putting money on Minnesota."

The line opened at Vikings -3 ½ and has only moved a half point down to -3 at some establishments like SBG Global.

For Packers backers, the +3 ½ line found at Sportsbook.com will certainly prove more enticing.

The only game more heavily anticipated than the Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings perhaps is the Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers....in Lambeau Field.  But for now, this one should prove to be a complete circus.

Favre is preparing to face his former team of 16 years, adding fuel to one of the NFL's fiercest rivalries. After his last-second touchdown pass beat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the Vikings are 3-0. The Packers are 2-1.

Bookmakers expect this to be one of the most heavily wagered on games of the NFL season to date when all is said and done.
