The first of our Free NFL Picks is on the Colts vs. Titans game.
Yes, our record is worse than the Titans. We went a very unimpressive (or impressive, depending on how you want to look at it) 0-6 with our NFL picks and no doubt we'll have plenty of folks fading this week's plays. We're not suggesting you do this....We expect this play to be a winner (just like we expected all of last week's NFL picks to be winners argggh). But alas, we did go 4-1 with our free College Football picks Saturday.
Our free NFL pick in this game is on the Titans (how fitting). The best number on Tennessee could be found at Sports Interaction: +4 ½. Most betting sites had the Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans odds at Indy -3 ½ at press time Tuesday night. 70 percent of bettors were riding the Titans early on at most books though Sports Interaction had heavier action on Indy, which has prompted them to push the line to Titans +4 1/2.
The Colts shut out the Titans at home last time they played one another in December, though it can be argued that Tennessee really didn't need that game and was more interested in resting players. Over the last five games, the Titans have gone 3-2. Indianapolis had won the previous 5 in this series, 4 of those being blowouts. Not counting the last game played between these two teams, the 5 previous have all been either won by Tennessee or lost by under a field goal.
