Gambling911.com takes a look at the 2010 odds for three teams in this report:  The Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.  This is Carrie Stroup reporting for Gambling911.com.

With the exception of the Eagles, both Detroit and Kansas City odds really should only focus on the 2010 NFL regular season wins.  The likelihood of either team winning their respective divisions – and God forbid the Super Bowl – is close to zero in our opinion.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost their starting quarterback for the better part of a decade, Donovan McNabb, to the Washington Redskins.  Still, they have a shot at winning the NFC East.  The payout at Sportsbook.com would be 3/1 or $30 for every $10 bet.

The folks from Sportsbook.com don’t exactly feel compelled to write the Eagles off just yet.

Kevin Kolb will now be the starter for the Eagles.  He has only had two starts in three seasons.  There is some glimmer of hope. Kolb became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for over 300 yards in his first two career starts.  Regardless, this is an iffy situation.  Will Kolb be a Matt Ryan or a Brady Quinn, or perhaps something in between.  That remains to be seen.

The Eagles odds of winning the 2011 Super Bowl were at 25/1for the record.

The UNDER 8 ½ regular seasons was at -120at Sportsbook.com, and that should tell us all something.

As for the Detroit Lions, this is a team that made some solid moves in the offseason.

They have a line of -145 to win OVER 5regular season games.

One scout told Athlon Sports: “I see them taking a step forward. I think they’ve done some nice things. They’ve added some good core people. Now they have the stability of a second year with the head coach and second year with the stability of a young quarterback — a quarterback with a lot of ability. Matthew Stafford’s a talented guy. If they can keep him on his feet, he’s a rugged, tough competitor. I was impressed with him for a first-year quarterback, for a guy who got knocked all over the place. I mean, he got knocked around a lot. … Obviously, Detroit got better in the draft, but it’s not hard to get better when you’re picking at the top of every round every year. You’re either going to get better or you’re going to get fired. I’m not sure how they could have messed it up this year, and they didn’t. … They’ve improved on the defensive line. Ndamukong Suh has a chance to be a difference-maker. … They still have areas of need. Offensive line is one, and I think they could look at the linebacker position.”

In Kansas City, Head Coach Todd Haley hired Charlie Weis as offensive coordinator, which should only result in improvements since Haley attempted to do all the work last year after firing Chan Gailey as offensive coordinator early on in the season.

Athlon Sports suggests “For now, contending for anything other than improvement on last year’s 4–12 record will likely have to wait. But after the past three seasons, a flirtation with a .500 record would be tantalizing to the regulars who flock to Arrowhead Stadium on Sundays.”

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
