The Washington Redskins may have beaten the Dallas Cowboys last week but it is the Cowboys who are still favored at +150 to win the NFC East while the Redskins odds would pay out $40 for every $10 bet at BetUS.com.

Dallas entered the season as the darlings of the NFC East, though once again the division looks extremely competitive.
This week Dallas plays a ho-hum Bears team that probably should not have won last week’s game against Detroit following a final bad call (a game winning touchdown by the Lions ruled as an incompletion). Detroit starting quarterback Matthew Stafford also left the game early and Chicago just barely won. Nevertheless, Bears starting quarterback Jay Cutler threw for 372 yards, the most in his 17 games with the team, so the Cowboys can’t sleep walk into this matchup.
Dallas last week also had 12 penalties for 91 yards.
The Redskins will face another tough opponent in Week 2 at home as they face the Houston Texans, a team that stunned Indianapolis last week. A win by Houston would make it only the second time in team history that the Texans have started a season 2-0.
“If Washington wins against Houston and Dallas either loses or doesn’t look sharp against Chicago Sunday, we can expect the Redskins odds of winning the NFC East to get closer to 2/1,” expressed Shapiro.
