The Clemson College Football fan base spans a wide region of South Carolina and a reach of nearly 1.8 million. If only 1 percent of these fans were sports betting enthusiasts, there would be some 18,000 potential bettors putting their money on the Tigers weekly.
This could prove disastrous for sportsbooks and local bookies alike as Clemson is among the favorites to win the 2017 College Football Championship and managed to go 14-1 Straight Up and 8-7 Against The Spread last season. The public loving OVER went 9-6 in 2015.
