The Bucs-Saints spread seems a little too large for our tastes here at Gambling911.com but the public was helping to push it back when the line was at -8 and 65 percent of the spread betting was going New Orleans way.  The Bucs-Saints line as of Wednesday night at BetDSI.com was at -9.

Both teams are challenging one another to win the NFC South.  Oddsmakers had New Orleans as the -175 favorite still even though they are just one win ahead of Tampa Bay and Atlanta.  Those two pay $345 and $200 on a $100 bet, respectively.

Tampa Bay has won three of the last four in this series.  They recently beat New Orleans at home (where the Bucs tend to play poorly) but oddsmakers are factoring in the Saints “avenging” that loss and last week’s upset defeat to the then winless St. Louis Rams when it comes to this line.

Here are some important Bucs-Saints stats to consider before betting on this game, noting that Tampa has some very impressive trends going in their favor but pay special attention to New Orleans performance vs. the NFC and especially the NFC South.  This is important considering the lofty line set.

The Buccaneers are 11-0 Against The Spread in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

The Buccaneers are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games as a road underdog of 3.5-10.0.

Tampa Bay is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC South.

Tampa Bay is 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss.

The Buccaneers are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 road games.

The Saints are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games.

The Saints are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

New Orleans is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a home favorite.

The Saints are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 vs. NFC South.

New Orleans is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. NFC.
