Books Take Hit From Steelers Outright Win

The most wagered on side of the week in the NFL was the Steelers to win outright versus Miami.

As much as 96 percent of the action on the money line was on Pittsburgh though the spread action was relatively balanced.  Some books were reporting up to 60 percent of the spread action on Pittsburgh, who easily covered.

“Folks were willing to risk $40 and up to win $10,” explained Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “Much of this was a result of the brutally cold weather.”

It felt like near zero degrees during much of the game.   The Dolphins rarely play in games where the temperatures are below freezing.

65 percent of the total action was on the OVER 47.5.  This game stayed UNDER at 42, helping to reduce the pain somewhat.
