The Tigers have won both of their games this season but they didn’t look good in either of them and failed to cover the spread. They just got past a suspect Louisville team in their opener and then last week they almost lost to FCS school Jacksonville State. And it may be difficult this week for the Tigers as they have a ton of injuries. "We have a few guys banged up," coach Gus Malzahn said, "We just have to have the next guy step up.” Senior defensive back Josh Holsey was injured last week and he may not play on Saturday. “I don’t know,” Malzahn said, “I know he came out and wasn’t able to go back in. We got a lot of people banged up.”
LSU Tigers 1-0 SU, 0-1 ATS
The Tigers just got past Mississippi State last week thanks to the Bulldogs missing a two point conversion and a late field goal. The Tigers defense didn’t play that well but thanks to running back Leonard Fournette they found a way to win. He had 159 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the 21-19 win. ''(Fournette's) a humble man, he works hard at his trade and he's a fine teammate,'' LSU coach Les Miles said. ''Those are easy guys to push the ball to.''
