Alabama vs. Mississippi State College Football odds opened with the Crimson Tide a lucky 13 point favorite.  The line has since moved down to -11 ½ at Sportsbetting.com, compared to -12 at most online sportsbooks.  Action on this game was relatively even.

Alabama is already in the SEC title game, but it can't afford to look ahead just yet when it visits Mississippi State. Tide QB Greg McElroy is coming off his best game since September, throwing for 276 yards and two scores against LSU. Alabama has won two of its past three games against the Bulldogs.

With hype already building toward his team's matchup with Florida, coach Nick Saban is trying to keep his team focused on the three remaining regular season games, even though the Tide will likely be big favorites.

After visiting Mississippi State (4-5, 2-3), Alabama takes on Chattanooga, a Football Championship Subdivision team, then visits longtime rival Auburn -- 3-3 in conference play -- in the annual Iron Bowl.

"When you have success, the next opportunity you can lose that and you've got to be smart enough to know what it takes to continue to try and improve and perform well," Saban said. "Remember this, the other guys that we're playing, they've got scholarships too, and ... they are pretty good."

Alabama is 7-3 in this series though these two teams have split the last four.

The Crimson Tide are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games following a Straight Up win.
