2009 Week 3 NFL Betting Odds

2009 Week 3 NFL betting odds are now up.  Let's take a quick look and see which books are offering the best value and what lines are moving the most.  The home team is in block capitals.

BALTIMORE -13 Cleveland:  The trend here is for the line to move upward.  We don't know how much the line will ultimately move as it's only gone up a half point at around 25 percent of the online sportsbooks.  This one opened at -13.  That line was still available at SBG Global

New York (Giants) -6 ½ TAMPA BAY:  The line opened at -7 and is actually going down at some books.  One we caught it at -6.

Green Bay -6 ½ ST. LOUIS:  Most of the books had this one at -6 ½ including SBG Global.  Maybe 10 percent of the books had a line of -7.

PHILADELPHIA -9 ½ Kansas City:  2009 Week 3 NFL betting odds on this game were only available at the Las Vegas Hilton as of press time.

NEW ENGLAND -4 Atlanta

MINNESOTA -7 San Francisco:  Some books have dropped the line down to -6 ½.  It opened at -8.  The -6 ½ line was found at BetUS.com.

HOUSTON -3 ½ Jacksonville: Some books had the line at -4 .

Washington -6 ½ DETROIT:  The line opened at -6 and the trend is to move up a half point.

NEW YORK (JETS) -3 Tennessee:  The odds on this game ranged from -1 (at Pinnacle Sports) to -3 at most places including SBG Global

New Orleans -5 ½ BUFFALO:  The line opened at New Orleans -3 ½.

Chicago -2 ½ SEATTLE:  Pinnacle had Chicago at -1.  About 60 percent of the books had the line at -2 ½.  This one did open at Bears -1.

Pittsburgh -4 CINCINNATI

OAKLAND -1 Denver:  Sportsbetting.com had the Broncos with a line of +1 ½.

SAN DIEGO -6 Miami

ARIZONA -2 Indianapolis:  You can get this one at -1 at some of the sharp books.  The line opened at Indianapolis -2 ½ if you can believe it.

DALLAS -9 Carolina:  Sporstbettting.com had the line at -8 ½.  Odds opened at -9 ½ and some books still offered that line.

Jets Prepping for Aaron Rodgers

The New York Jets added some draft capital for a potential Aaron Rodgers trade.  They traded wide receiver Elijah Moore to the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday just as they were finalizing a free agent contract for his replacement, former Kansas City Chiefs wideout Mecole Hardman.

The NFL rumor mill is churning daily, especially during the lead-up to free agency and following the combine. Early reports are out that the Titans are shopping Derrick Henry, but they’ve since denied the rumor.
