2010 Week 6 NFL Predictions

Carrie Stroup here with my 2010 Week 6 NFL predictions.  As always, will be going against the public here and usually posting underdogs.

With the Indianapolis Colts in Washington getting nearly 90 percent of the betting action, you know I am all over the Redskins here at +3.  Love this pick.  Indianapolis is the most bet on team for Week 6 of the NFL.

Next, I really don’t want to do this but it fits the formula.  The Steelers were getting better than 75 percent of the action and were the second most wagered on team this weekend.  Hate backing the Browns in this scenario but at +14, they are being thrown into the equation.

If I were a betting girl, which I am, I’d have to say that if the Browns don’t come through, the Broncos will against the Jets.  Like Cleveland, Denver is getting just under 25 percent of the action.  Denver as the +3 ½ home underdog here.

Typically I like my three to four picks getting 20 percent or less of the public action here but the second most wagered on team in a high volume matchup was getting better than 20 percent, as was the third most wagered on team.  I believe we will go 2-1 this weekend as a result.  Either Broncos or Browns cover.  Pick your poison.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
