Poker in Indiana
The state does not currently regulate online poker rooms. Some of the larger networks that are accessible from the state are licensed internationally with a player pool from across North America and the rest of the world.
Indiana is a relatively poker-friendly state when it comes to licensed casino poker rooms and organized tournaments, but it takes a much more restrictive approach to private poker clubs and unlicensed games.
Unlike in Texas where the laws are a little more murky, charging membership fees instead of taking a rake in the state of Indiana does not automatically make a private Indiana poker club legal. State laws can even apply when friends play poker for money at home without a house rake.
