The Florida Python Challenge is a 10-day annual event that brings together both professional and amateur participants to help remove invasive Burmese pythons from Florida's ecosystem.
Contestants can't use firearms, traps, bait, explosives or chemicals to remove the pythons...just their bare hands!
In the most recent 2024 competition, a total of 195 pythons were captured, with the champ hauling in a total of 20 snakes.
