Odds to Win Best Picture - 2018 Academy Awards

The Shape of Water at EVEN odds and Three Billboards at -110 are the co-favorites to win this year's Best Picture at the Academy Awards March 4.

In The Shape of Water, Elisa is a mute, isolated woman who works as a cleaning lady in a hidden, high-security government laboratory in 1962 Baltimore. Her life changes forever when she discovers the lab's classified secret -- a mysterious, scaled creature from South America that lives in a water tank.

Three Billboards, about a mother who rents three billboards to call attention to her daughter's unsolved murder, stunned The Shape of Water at the BAFTA Awards Sunday evening with a win for Best Feature Film.

Producer Graham Broadbent said the movie is “the story of a woman taking on the establishment and status quo.”

“It seems more timely now than we could ever have imagined,” he said.

Other Best Picture nominees offer tremendous payouts like Darkest Hour paying out $1000 for every $10 bet should it somehow win.

Oscar nominees tend to be "locks" or competitive between only two nominees.  Long shots like Darkest Hour rarely, if ever, win.
