Police believed that millionaire reality TV star, Ryan Jenkins, had fled to Canada. Their suspicions were right as Jenkins was found dead of an apparent suicide in a British Columbia hotel room. He was a suspect in the gruesome murder of model girlfriend, Jasmine Fiore.
The Mounties said earlier Sunday they had credible information that suggests Jenkins, a 32-year-old former Calgary real estate developer and one-time reality-show contestant on VH1's "Megan Wants A Millionaire," is in Canada but weren't prepared to say where they're looking for him.
"It's now our belief that he is in Canada," Sgt. Duncan Pound, spokesman for the RCMP's border-integrity unit, said in an interview.
"We want the Canadian public aware not to approach him. If they think they see him, please call 911, say it's a possible sighting of Ryan Jenkins and let the police take care of it."
Jenkins became a primary suspect in the murder of his dismembered wife, who was found stuffed in a suit case. Fiore had married Jenkins in Las Vegas back in March.
Jenkins and Fiore participated in a poker tournament in San Diego the night before the murder.
