I'm probably the last person to see Avatar and nearly missed it as many of the theatres around me are no longer showing it.  I'm still not sure this is a "lock" to win "Best Picture" but it's certainly a "lock" to win on the technology and special effects front.

Oddsmakers at BetUS.com have posted odds on how many Oscars will Avatar win.

5 looks to be the favorite with a range of 4-6 having the shortest odds.

1  12/1

2  9/1

3  5/1

4  3/1

5  9/4

6  3/1

7  4/1

8  8/1

9  10/1

Avatar was now a 4/7 favorite to win the 2010 Oscars "Best Picture".  For every $7 bet, $4 would be won (it is important to note that the original bet is returned should the bet be a winner).

Best Picture

         •         A Serious Man  80/1

         •         An Education  60/1

         •         Avatar  4/7

         •         District 9  100/1

         •         Inglorious Basterds  16/1

         •         Precious  35/1

         •         The Blind Side  70/1

         •         The Hurt Locker  6/5

         •         Up  60/1

         •         Up In The Air  14/1
