With a clear front runner emerging to host Great Britain's enormously successful Strictly Come Dancing, bookmakers across the UK have suspended all betting moving forward.
Bets were offered immediately following the exits of hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.
A flurry of wagering began to come in on Rylan Clark, 37, at Ladbrokes. That British bookmaker is among those that have stopped taking wagers on this market.
His odds there tumbled from 4-1 to 1-2 - indicating he is an almost guaranteed replacement.
Clark is a popular English television presenter, radio host, and singer. He first gained fame as a contestant on The X Factor in 2012, later winning Celebrity Big Brother and hosting Big Brother's Bit on the Side, and has since become a staple on BBC and ITV shows like Strictly: It Takes Two and This Morning.
A spokesperson revealed they had been "knocked over with bets".
One Show and Your Home Made Perfect presenter Angela Scanlon, 42, also witnessed a sudden burst of bets to join him.
Ladbrokes' Nicola McGeady said: “The rumour-mill has gone into overdrive with suggestions Rylan Clark will be the next Strictly host. We were knocked over with bets on the former X Factor contestant landing the job and were forced to pull the plug on the market. Interestingly, the money also strongly suggests that Angela Scanlon could be joining him as part of a new-look team."
