2017 Oscars Odds to Win Best Actor: Casey Affleck vs. Denzel Washington

The 2017 Oscars for Best Actor are far from a “lock” with both Casey Affleck and Denzel Washington having short odds.

Casey Affleck - Manchester by the Sea -180

Denzel Washington - Fences +140

Ryan Gosling - La La Land 15-1

Viggo Mortensen - Captain Fantastic 75-1

Andrew Garfield - Silence 100-1

Affleck would pay out $18 for every $10 bet should he win Best Actor for his role in Manchester By The Sea.  The $18 bet is refunded should he win, with a $10 profit realized.  For example, if you bet $36 on Casey Affleck to win Best Actor and he wins, you get back that $36 plus $20.

Washington is a great value pick for Fences especially with all the controversy last year regarding the limited number of African Americans nominated to win an Oscar.  Denzel Washington is also considered Hollywood royalty.  The payout here would be $14 for every $10 bet
