2010 Oscar Predictions

While the oddsmakers have posted favorites based on money action coming in, it's important to pay attention to 2010 Oscar predictions to find out if there is a chance that some high paying long shot could ultimately win.  There are a few categories that remain tight, including Best Actress and Best Foreign Film at betED.com (see website here)

Best Actor - Jeff Bridges is a pretty hefty favor here but there are some who believe George Clooney could provide the upset.  Bridges comes with a steep price tag of -800 while Clooney would pay out $80 for every $10 bet.

2010 Oscar predictions for the Best Actress category are much tighter between Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep.  Here it wouldn't surprise us to see Streep provide a minor upset paying $20 for every $10 bet.  Sandra Bullock was the -200 favorite.  Gabby Sidibe could not be ruled out for her role in the film Precious and would pay out $120 for every $10 bet.

Best Supporting Actor and Actress seemed like locks with Christoph Waltz and Mo'Nique winning their respective categories at ridiculous prices.

Best Picture could go to either Avatar or The Hurt Locker as the two films were at near even odds.  Gambling911.com says The Hurt Locker wins since Avatar will enjoy all the tech awards.  The Hurt Locker will probably win for Best Director too with Kathryn Bigelow a -500 favorite.  It should be noted that a win by James Cameron for Avatar would pay $30 for every $10 bet
