Former President Clinton, Prince Andrew and others are expected to be named on the infamous client list of late financier and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
BetOnline, which offers hundreds of political and entertainment betting options, had posted odds on who would be named during the Christmas weekend holiday but has since removed the odds, likely a combined result of too many insiders having access and not wanting to wrongly implicate folks who may turn out not to have appeared on the list. BetOnline also tends to shy away from betting on pending legal matters.
The amount of interest in betting on whose names show up on the list certainly hasn't waned any. The popular long established website Epstein list odds did go viral. BetOnline did offer odds on whether a sitting congressperson's name would appear as an underdog (unlikely) before the line shot up to favorite designation.
Over the weekend, the New York Post reported that former US President Bill Clinton appears as "Doe 36" and is identified in the court docs more than 50 times.
Many of the references to Clinton are believed to stem from Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre's attempts to compel the former president to testify against the late sex offender and his former paramour and co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, according to ABC News.
The documents are not expected to implicate Clinton in any illegal activity, ABC reported.
Judge Preska listed 187 "J. Does" on the court documents and ruled many of them should be "unsealed in full." All individuals listed were previously designated as either "John Doe" or "Jane Doe" with a number. "Doe" is used to refer to an unidentified person.
Prince Andrew might not get off so easy as ABC News reports that the documents allege Giuffre was told to have sex with him by Epstein and his assistant Ghislaine Maxwell on numerous occasions.
