Gambling911.com resident bookmaking expert Tony Caliente mulls over the Villanova vs. Xavier spread to determine what the line should actually be.

The Musketeers were coming in as a +1.5 home dog in what should be a hot matchup.  Both teams have just three losses apiece.

Xavier (24-3, 12-2 Big East) holds a 1 1/2-game lead over the defending national champions, who have dominated the current incarnation of the Big East since it formed 2013.

Villanova has won nine of the last ten in this series and there is essentially little spread in this game.

Xavier should be the -1 favorite according to the College Basketball Betting Power Ratings.
