Baltimore Orioles Odds of Winning the 2013 World Series at 15-1

Considering how well the Baltimore Orioles are playing of late, their odds of winning the 2013 World Series at 15-1 have great value.

At press time, the Orioles were among the most consistent teams.  They were just 2 games behind the Boston Redsox in the American League East.  Their record is third best in the AL.

Even more interesting, Baltimore managed to go 3-1 in their recent series versus division leading Boston.

ESPN.com noted that Baltimore’s success can be measured by how well they have played against Boston in recent times.

Before going 13-5 against Boston in 2012, the Orioles hadn't taken a season series from the Red Sox since 2004.  And against Jon Lester, Baltimore had been 0-14 prior to this past week.

"Obviously we have a different group here," said Orioles Chris Davis, who was 0 for 14 lifetime against Lester before ripping a 3-1 pitch in the third inning for a two-run homer that put Baltimore up 3-0.

The Orioles had won 6 of their last 10 games overall as of press time June 18, 2013.

Baltimore currently is a value play to win the 2013 World Series with odds of 15-1
