Odds to Win NL West +250

Odds to Win NL Pennant +1000

Odds to Win World Series +2000

Well it is about time! The Padres have their best offense on paper that we have seen in years, with the additions of Kemp and Upton. Carlos Quentin also looks to get back on track after three injury-plagued seasons as a Padre, after putting up strong numbers in his time with the White Sox from 2008 - 11, hitting 107 HRs in those four years in Chicago. The pitching staff looks solid enough to earn the team a chance to compete in the NL West, with the addition of Shields to the rotation.

The line setters are predicting more success, of course, offering a team wins total of 85 on the year, after only coming up 8 games shy of that last year.

It may not be easy to pull off, but if the Padres are only going 4 games over .500, it surely would almost be seen as disappointing with the money the team spent in the off-season to put a quality product on the field. So damn well better find a way to topple 85 wins on the year, at worst. We will expect that to happen, and we feel pretty confident suggesting someone make a play on that total to go over 85 win this year.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
