What Are The Odds to Win - Women's 1500m Speed Skating - Beijing Olympics

Women's 1500m Speed Skating odds for the Beijing Winter Olympics had very competitive odds.  Miho Takagi was the EVEN odds favorite.   Bets will need to be placed by 3:30 am ET Monday morning.

Miho Takagi represents Japan. In both 2012 and 2013 she won the World Junior Speed Skating Championships.  In the 2015 World Single Distance Championships she won the gold medal in the team pursuit where she participated together with her sister Nana Takagi and compatriot Ayaka Kikuchi.  She has also won the women's competition at the 2018 World Allround Speed Skating Championships and placed second at the 2019 World Allround Speed Skating Championships.

Brittany Bowe comes in at 3-1 odds.  She is an American speed skater and former inline skater and basketball player. She has eight gold, one silver, and two bronze medals from the world inline speedskating championships.

Dutch speed skater Ireen Wust comes in at 4-1 odds and certainly has come terrific value here.   Wust is the youngest Dutch Olympic gold medalist in the history of the Winter Games. At the age of nineteen, on 12 February 2006, she won the gold medal at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games 3000 metre event; four years later at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games she won the 1500 metre event; at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games she won two gold and three silver medals, making her the most decorated athlete at the Sochi Games.

Antoinette de Jong also represents the Netherlands.  She was coming in at 8-1 odds.  She won the bronze medal in the 3000 m at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.  De Jong is the world record holder of 3000 meters in juniors.
