Auburn is the lowest remaining seed in the tournament as the No. 5 in the Midwest, but the Tigers again proved they're the rest of the field's worst nightmare. Auburn was fearless if not flawless in beating No. 1 seed North Carolina 97-80 in Kansas City to advance to Sunday's regional final against the winner of the Houston-Kentucky game. The Tigers didn't back down from North Carolina's fast pace. Well over half of Auburn's 66 shots were taken from three and the Tigers made 67 percent of those threes in the second half. The Tigers earlier took out Kansas by hitting 43 percent of their attempts from three. The only down note for Auburn was the loss of forward Chuma Okeke in the second half with an apparent knee injury. He was Auburn's leading scorer on Friday night with 20 points.
