Michigan could soon allow sportsbooks at designated casino locations, but for sports bettors, agents, and bookies alike, no need to wait.  It has never been a better time to start your own sportsbook.

Benefits to Starting a Sportsbook in Detroit

States that have opened up sportsbooks since this past May's Supreme Court ruling that legalizes sports wagering demonstrate that, while the operations look nice, have plenty of offerings and the apps are slick......what about those damn taxes.   New Jersey imposes a 13% tax on Web sports betting.  OUCH!  Bookies obviously don't report your winnings to the IRS.  This is left up to the player to do so.

Anonymity, a wider selection of sports betting options, futures, props and often better lines are just a few of the advantages bookies offer to area sports bettors.

Why Top Pay Per Head

Whether you have just a few buddies are a few hundred clients, the new kid on the block, TopPayPerHead.com is a Pay Per Head business backed by some of the deepest pockets in the world of offshore sports betting. A full service Pay Per Head Solution being offered at just $4 per head or less.  LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING is available.  Get started in under a half hour or less.

The Pay Per Head business model allows you to have full control over your player base while outsourcing all the hard work out to a firm that provides a customized website, live sharp lines from experienced oddsmakers in the business for well over a decade and 24/7 customer service.  You can generate reports whenever you like.

Best of all, the Pay Per Head saves you a ridiculous amount of money on overhead.  Historically, a bookie's customer would end up costing several times what a PPH charges due to the amount of investment in a call center, time spent grading bets, and so on.  Today's bookie and agent who opts to use a Pay Per Head can simply sit back and enjoy life as the money rolls in.  LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING ensures a boost in profit or reduced losses when it comes to certain team action based on client base locale.

When Will I Be Able to Bet Online With a Michigan-Based Site or App?

In 2017, legislation was introduced to amend the state's current gaming control law. Michigan's proposed bill would allow any holder of a casino license to "accept wagers on sporting events." The state's gaming board would be required to "promulgate rules to regulate the conduct of sports betting under this act." In 2018, the Michigan legislature adjourned without action on the sports betting bill.

Whereas internationally-licensed sportsbooks (also referred to as offshore sportsbooks) do not impose a tax on wagers, individual U.S. states will.  For example, New Jersey imposes a 10.75% tax at its newly opened sportsbooks and 13% tax for online wagering.
