Nevada sportsbooks took in a record $786.5 million in bets, up 84% from August’s $427.4 million. This broke the state's previous record of $659.9 million set in October 2020.  The number does not include bets placed with offshore sportsbooks or through local bookie software platforms.

Not surprisingly, this number was 36.7% higher than the year prior, which was still impacted to some degree by the global pandemic.

Mobile wagering in the state also set a record for handle.  $495.3 million in bets were taken during the month, an increase of 67% from August’s $296.5 million and 57% up from September 2020.

Wyoming, with the smallest population in the US, recently launched legalized sports betting and reported Over $6 Million in bets its first full month.

Wyoming’s gross gaming revenue for the month was $954,416, but the month’s net sports betting proceeds was minus-$123,970.

Football accounted for 58% of the state’s overall handle at $3,645,747.

The Wyoming Cowboys have played competitively to date this season as a member of the Mountain West in College Football.
