While Utah remains a stronghold for Republicans, the sitting President, Donald Trump, is not necessarily a "lock" to win here.

Yes, Trump is at -1000 to win Utah but polls ahead of 2016 and throughout his Presidency have shown less support for Trump than in many other reliably red states like Alabama, Mississippi and neighboring Wyoming.

Still, the majority of Beehive state voters approve of the president’s job performance.

Half of the registered voters polled for the Deseret News and the University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics said they would vote for Trump if the November election were held today, compared to 31% who would go with Biden. Only 11% said they are unsure who they’d choose.

The best bet for Utah gamblers is on true swing states the likes of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida and even Arizona.

And of course, there is the ultimate winner of the Electoral College, a much more competitive race.  On average, following the Conventions, Trump and the Democratic candidate, former Vice President Joe Biden, were each around -115 to win.
