Brian McCarthy, the league's vice president of communications, tweeted:

The Jets and Giants, both of which play in the New Jersey Meadowlands, that there would be no fans "until further notice".   The Las Vegas Raiders are leaning in that direction as well.

The Los Angeles Rams announced Tuesday that the new SoFi Stadium will be "at limited or no capacity" this season.

Atlanta Falcons detailed plans Wednesday for hosting between 10,000-20,000 fans at home games.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have already said they will require masks if fans are allowed at Heinz Field this season.

Blue Jays Still Homeless

Speaking of Pittsburgh, that didn't last long.

Wednesday morning it was widely reported that the city would become home to the Blue Jays in Major League Baseball.

By early afternoon, that plan fell apart.

"In recent weeks, we have seen a significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in southwestern Pennsylvania," Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said. "To add travelers to this region for any reason, including for professional sports events, risks residents, visitors and members of both teams.

The city of Toronto will not permit the Blue Jays to travel in and out of the US as long as the COVID-19 cases continue to climb.

Mookie Betts, Dodgers Finalizing New 13-year, $380M-Plus Deal

Star outfielder Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers are finalizing a massive 13-year deal worth more than $380 million that would keep the former American League MVP from reaching free agency this winter, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

The deal, which could be agreed upon as soon as Wednesday, would include the 2020 season, sources told ESPN.
