After pulling off an impressive win in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs, it’s time for the Seahawks to play again this weekend. Seattle will be in Green Bay to take on the Packers who have had plenty of success at home in the playoffs. The Packers are the second seed in the NFC this season, and Seattle had to settle for the number five seed. Green Bay can score points in a hurry, and the Seahawks will try to grind their way to victory.

Seattle finished the regular season with a record of 11-5, and were just one win away from winning the NFC West. The Seahawks really struggled at home in 2019, which is where they are usually almost impossible to beat. Green Bay missed the playoffs in 2018, but they responded in a big way this season. The Packers finished the regular season with a record of 13-3 to win the NFC North Division. Green Bay is a -4.0 point home favorite over Seattle in this NFC Divisional Round matchup.
Rodgers Continues to Amaze For Packers
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers continue to be one of the best in the league, and he had another terrific season. Rodgers threw for over 4,000 yards this season, and did so while throwing just four interceptions. A big reason for the success of Rodgers has been the Packers running game. Running back Aaron Jones ran for 16 touchdowns this season, and that has taken some pressure off of the veteran QB.
Defense has also been much better for the Packer this, and is a huge reason for them winning the division. The Packers are allowing less than 20 points per game, and they should get some pressure on Russell Wilson in this game. Preston and Za’Darius Smith might not be related, but they have formed a dynamic duo of pass rushers that have combined for more than 26 sacks this season. The Packers defense has the ability to be great, especially at home.
How Much Does Lynch Have to Give Seahawks?
The Seattle Seahawks have dealt with a ton of injuries at the running back position this season, and they have turned to a familiar face. Marshawn Lynch is back in Seattle, and he has scored a rushing touchdown in each of the last two games. The Seahawks will need a big game from Lynch in this game to take some pressure off of Russell Wilson. Wilson threw for over 4,000 yards this season, but a lack of running game will force him to throw the ball a ton.
Defense has been an issue at times for the Seahawks this season, especially later in the year. The Seahawks allowed close to 25 points per game this season, and they were hurt by the pass. Seattle did hold the Philadelphia Eagles to just nine points in the Wild Card Round win, but they will face a much tougher challenge in this game. Finding a way to get to Aaron Rodgers is a huge key in this game.
Packers Win Tight Battle With Seahawks
These two teams have a history of playing each other in the NFL Playoffs, and they have had some terrific battles. Seattle has actually been a much better team on the road this season, winning eight of their nine games away from home. The Seahawks are just too banged up in this game, and it’s hard to see them scoring enough points to win it. Green Bay has a dynamic quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, and he finally has support with the running game.
