GTBets has stopped taking bets from states that have legalized mobile sports wagering as a means of conforming with individual state laws.  Contrary to popular belief, there is no federal US law that prohibits online gambling.  The Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act (UIGEA) only stipulates that banking institutions within the US cannot directly process payments for offshore gambling sites.  Just as wifi and mobile essentially made the antiquated Wire Act irrelevant, the blockchain and cryptocurrencies are doing the same in terms of UIGEA.

As of January 1, 2020, GTBets has made no announcement regarding Michigan or New Hampshire, but customers should be making plans ahead of time.

The Company does not accept wagers from players residing in Australia, Israel, Russia, Latvia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Great Britain/The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, The Netherlands Antilles, Aruba, Canada, Chad, Cuba, Denmark, France, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Italy, North Korea, Myanmar, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Suriname, Sweden, Libya, and the following U.S. States: Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington, and West Virginia. The Company reserves the right to block Players from any jurisdiction.

Some of the states listed do not yet have plans to offer mobile wagering, but have in the past been inhospitable to offshore operators (i.e. Louisiana and Maryland).  Washington is the only state that makes placing a bet a Class C felony.

Illinois and Tennessee are likely to make the list in the not-so-distant future as well.
